Qualified Vocational Teacher for Childcare Education

The Gymnasium and Adult Education Committee is responsible for the municipality's commitments according to school legislation for upper secondary school, special upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults, and Swedish language instruction for immigrants.

The committee is also responsible for work-oriented rehabilitation and the municipal refugee reception. We collaborate to ensure that the municipality's citizens learn, develop, and can live independent lives. We have Sweden's most important job - our mission is to instill hope for the future.

The Adult Education in Umeå municipality is responsible for issues related to study and career guidance and adult education. Education is conducted both in-house and through contracted providers. Within adult education, studies are offered in SFI, basic and general courses, vocational training, and adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary levels.

Your Responsibilities

You will teach students in subjects related to the childcare education program. The work involves planning and implementing teaching based on national regulations and goals, as well as scientific principles and proven experience. We actively work to design and develop our courses in close collaboration with the industry. As a teacher, you will work based on flexible and individualized learning with the student in focus.

About You

We are looking for a qualified vocational teacher with a verified teaching license in subjects related to childcare education. You have good knowledge and competence in IT and see digital learning as an important tool for students' knowledge acquisition. Experience in teaching within adult education is an advantage. We want you to embody pedagogical versatility and have a desire to create safe learning environments where the student's opportunities to achieve goals are in focus. We place great importance on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
